  • Is CrossFit for me?
    The short answer: yes. Crossfit is for everyone regardless of age, experience and fitness level. From the elite athlete to the desk job worker to the pensioner, the CrossFit programming is designed to benefit anyone brave enough to give it a try. All that’s required is an open mind, and a willingness to learn and work hard. Each workout can be modified depending on your individual needs, we will ensure the load and intensity are adjusted to suit your abilities so that you can get the best out of each class.   • Do I need to be in shape to start CrossFit?
    Absolutely not! The beauty of CrossFit is that it can be scaled to meet the abilities and fitness levels of just about anyone - whether they have a background in fitness or not - while still challenging them to work hard at an intensity that promotes progression. Now, we won’t lie, the workouts are tough, but the results are prominent and the feeling of accomplishment you get after every class is addictive!   • Is CrossFit safe?
    Safety is our top priority at here CrossFit Cookstown. During each workout, a qualified coach will be present to guide you through proper technique and help prevent injuries occurring from improper form. Our classes are kept small, which provides a coach-to-athlete ratio that is optimal for your safety & performance. Prepare to be pushed, but never beyond your limits.
  • How can I join?
    Nothing great is built on weak foundations. As a prerequisite, we ask all new members to complete our Beginners Course - a short introduction designed to teach you the very basics of CrossFit and introduce you to the intensity of the workouts. Throughout the course, our experienced coaches will guide you through the different skill sets needed in CrossFit, demonstrate how to perform movements safely and efficiently, as well as teaching you how to scale workouts to suit your ability. It’s a great opportunity to learn about what we do here at CrossFit Cookstown, discuss any goals you might have, and meet other like-minded people ready to begin their CrossFit journey!
